RickM - Question!

Rick,

I am installing the mirrors now and using your modules. I have a black and red version (module color). Which is Right and Left?

Thanks!!

Chris

Rick let me know that Red is Right. Now I am working on matching up the colors from the car wiring harness.

I've done some more research and mapped the wiring on my car (1987) to the switch. Note that each mirror shares a common connection to both motors, and that the passenger side is "piggybacked" on the drivers side for ground and the common connections.

Hopefully this will help you in matching what I have with the "modules":

Drivers:
Grey/Green, Brown - Heat
Black/Brown, White/Brown - Horizontal
Black/Brown, Black - Vertical

Passenger:
Grey/Green and Brown - Heat
Green, White/Green - Horizontal
Green, Black/Blue - Vertical

Details on wiring mirrors to 1987 911

Here is the motor harness. First two brown wires are for the mirror heating:

Here is the motor itself:

Here is the driver's door wiring, refer to the post above for the details on each wire's function:

And finally, here is the passenger door, refer to the post above for the details on each wire's function:
