CIS FI Fuel distributor

Hello,

I´ve just opened the CIS fuel distributor, for cleaning.
During the reassembly:
Does anybody know if I have to use an adhesive between the two fuel distributor halves?

thanks in advance,
Gabriel

Should not have to. The machined surfaces didn't leak before you took it apart, so ...

I think Bruce Anderson says that if you DO need to put some sealant between the halves, make absolutely certain that you do NOT get any sealant into the tiny fuel passages -- by using a REALLY thin layer.

Yes, use a sealant. I put mine back together without any and it leaked horribly. I then used some Shellac from the autoparts store, and it worked great. Just apply a thin layer on each half of the distributor. Oh, and make absolutely certain all of those little o-rings are seated correctly before you finish joining the two halves. Mine looked pretty dried out, so I replaced them.
