Somebody tackle me before I burn Wayne's server out .......
|
burn away - that is a great photo ref library you have. MUCH APPECIATED! visited your website. very nice interior. i think that red "ST" is the one i saw at an R Gruppe meeting at EASY. also, who's car is the black one with the deleted decklid badge/script that is in front of the diner? i like it.
|
Here's a lightweight. Looks like it has a round oil cap on the rear fender where the '72 models have an oil fill door. Or maybe the door is missing?

Bob, the red 'ST' look is Steve Turco's. He bought it from a guy in California. The black car is James Shira's 69 with a 3.2L in it. -- Curt

Wow, thank you guys, what a thread !
Dooop |
Curt,
What do you use to frame your pics with a caption? BTW, great pics. |
|
|
Rick, my photos are basically in 'as stolen' condition. I just collect various photos I've found on the internet over the years. Many come from motorracingretro.com which went offline several weeks ago for unknown reasons. -- Curt

Thanks for taking the time to post and share these pics!
Gives endless ideas of how to customise a porsche!. Seems like in the attempts to win races - any fender flare, tire size, wheel type was used. I am amazed at the lack of spoilers used on some of the cars!. rgds`Ben |

One last try! ST at Lime Rock. Note the ducktail, not chronologically correct but these cars are currently really raced, so reducing lift at speed is important. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1064464540.jpg
Yeah Souk. Same dOOd. |
I love Prescotts car. Missed seeing him ...he was wandering...how's he doing? He used to have an old 550, or something similar...neat car.
