speaker sizes in a '69?

Does anyone know what speakers fit in the door of a '69. There aren't any cutouts currently. Also how hard would it be to install component tweeters in the door like in the 911sc's. Has anyone used etronics.com to shop for electronics they are way cheaper than Crutchfield. Opinions or experiences with them would be helpfull. Thanks, Sam

I have speaker cutouts in my '69. Curious why yours doesn't (you are referring to the door itself and not the panel?). It fits a 6.5" speaker. I purchased a component system and put the tweeter above the kickpanel pocket. Crossover unit fits in the crevice behind (and padded w/foam). You could also install the tweeter in the door panel, but that means cutting a hole in the panel - your decision.

I was refferring to the panel when I said there wasn't a cutout. But it's a 6.5" speaker then, okay. Also you should check out etronics.com they have really low prices. (No afiliation just amazed by the prices.)

Be aware that the speaker covers should be low profile (flat, if possible), otherwise it may interfere with operating the window crank.
