Have you seen this one? What do you think?

Looks like a nice try at a clone. Just wondering what you guys think its worth. Looks kind of narrow for a clone, right?

Looks very well done, overall. Andial work on engine, very expensive distributor & dual ignition system, working AC, Autos Intl sport seats, etc..

Downside: no MFI, K&N oil filter would not be MY choice to protect all the $$$ under that ducktail..

I don't think so, looks like SC flares to me.

Anyone else notice the sump plate possibly mounted wrong? With the drain centered like that it would get in the way of the oil pickup, no? I think it's supposed to be on the drivers side.

Sump plate is mounted wrong and the fan strap is installed incorrectly.

You're right, the sump plate is improperly installed. That engines going to lose oil pressure and overheat when they drive it.

Also, I hate it when someone says the engine is built to RS specs. Just because it's A 2.7 liter, it is not built to RS specs. RS engines did not have twin plug heads. RS spec did not have carbs.

I saw that one. Overall it appears nice, but I didn't like the looks of the close up pic of the VIN plate. There are several rust bubbles and cracked paint. It makes me wonder what the rest of the car is like.

Looks like the fan strap is "bolted" together at the top because of the twin-coils location, eh?

Looks like a really clean car!

Cool! My '72T has 15 x 7 Fuchs, just like the fronts on this car! I guess I'll stop looking for a set.

That being said, I'd probably still drive it.............

The VIN tag for a '73 911T should be a stamped metal plate mounted on the front edge of the trunk, not a sticker. Look at the gross weight of the vehicle, it says 3086 lbs. For some reason there was a replacement sticker put on the car from a later model year. The seller was smart to include a shot of the stamped chasis tag in the trunk to confirm the VIN #.

I am not sure if I am a fan of the green/tan combo but if the engine work and other mechanic work checks out with a PPI then I'd say take a look at the car. Although for that kind of $$$ you could pick up a car with a 3.2 or maybe a 3.6, if you are into that kind of thing. I recently saw a car out of Florida that looked very clean with a 3.2 and the other upgrades. You can find that one at www.traderonline.com under classics. Good luck!

Just curious... is anyone here seriously considering a bid on this? I sent e-mail to Redline to see if they'll show me the car this weekend.

Is the drivers mirror correct? And is the S trim appropriate? Love the color.

Something doesn't look quite right about this car...

Is it me, or does it look as though the rear flares have been put on in the wrong position?

& if you've got a twin-plug, (supposedly) high performance 2.7 RS (?) engine, why rely on an incorrect '77-on 6200 redline tacho ?

I haven't got my car to hand to compare it, but is the spacing of the digits shown in the VIN stamped by the fuel tank correct ?

- I don't remember the inconsistent gaps between the 3rd /4th & 4th/5th digits.

As for the 'S' trim, that would be correct for an RS Touring but in that case a 3-piece (metal) rear bumper should be fitted.

The wheels fitted in the pictures are 6" & 7" x 15" but the seller does state that the 8's (& the correct mirrors) are available for sale.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone that actually sees this car but I'm just a bit suspicious...

It's an interesting car. I think an all black interior would improve the looks. It looks like they stopped the refurb after the outside was done.

What is dripping down the inside of tires?

I agree, the rear flairs look wrong, maybe its the color and the lighting?

At first, I assumed they were bleeding brakes and letting the fluid 'run out', but then I thought, the rear tires are still on the car, so it cant be that. HMMMM...

Love the color though....
