Question Question I should know the answer to...

What is this thing? I need a couple of seals for it. In front of the RHS rear wheel if you need a point of reference.

Don't worry about the paint, it's in the bodyshop getting resprayed

Torsion bar cover. Also looks like you're missing the rocker panels. Depending on the type car you're building, some choose to leave both off.

Looks like you have a hole in your car.

(It's the torsion bar hole. Needs a cap.)

Okay thanks guys. What do you do with a torsion bar?

I have the covers, just my guy wanted to treat the corrosion in there. One of the seals is gone too.

Why would you leave them off? I just want it to look stock (with good paint) for now.

Looks like the torsion bar access hole but the cover is missing and the back plate is still there. I think it would have to be rusted in place to be stuck there, it should still be attached to the cover. You can buy new/used ones w/ all the parts if it needs to be replaced.

That's the force that holds the car up in instead of a spring. If you wanted to replace it, you would have to cut a hole there. Porsche did it for you.
