welding for dummies, by a dummie
Ok for those that have a project that is going way to good and need to throw it into a tail spin, do this. Weld a new section of front fender on and don't take any precautions against warping/distorting the metal. It's amazing how hard it can be to get that baby to fit right again! A little tip from your Uncle Al.

Well my welding experience is better classed as dummy getting a dummy to weld. I live in nascar country and used a shadetree mech for my body work. I really shouldn't call my mech a dummy because he explained to me what he would like to do, and I wasn't paying attention. My closing words were, "Sounds good to me." Anyhow, pick the car up a week or so later, and darned if he didn't weld the fenders to the body along with gas cap flapper thing. Guess it is a true uni-body, oh yeah and the camaro type rocker's I am still undecided.
