Since you're likely using a 55 pin Cyntex chip the SAI is totally redundant dead weight.

Forgive me if this a stupid question but what's "the SAI system"?

SAI is a little electric pump and associated hardware that blows into the heads thence to the exhaust ports. It is a feature of US OBD2 993s that causes no end of trouble for the owner. The intended function is to blow extra O2 into the exhaust port for a few minutes after a cold start. In practice it gets plugged up w/ gunk, the net effect is a thrown code, causeing a CEL(check engine light)

The euro versions do not have this "feature"

Thanks Bill!
SAI = Something Air Injection :D

Bill, any chance you'd post some audio of your engine? It must sound awesome.

Here's a short one in the garage Sound

I've got a lot more long ones but need to figure out how to edit mpgs to a reasonable size.

It sounds even better in person, Bill took me for a ride the other night when I was looking at some calipers, Wheeeee!:D

Boost

I don't know how north you are but there is a heap of early and mid 911s in Sydney with 3.6's in them. My mech has done a fair few including one finished in the last fortnight and doesn't seem to consider it much of a biggie. Might be worth the trip - pm me if you need contact details.

Cheers - Ryan

That was spine tingling good! Who knows what would have happened if it had been one of the long versions! http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/nuts.gif
