Pull the Gauge from the dash and check the connectors, they may be loose or not making full contact, especially the Brown ground. Use a dremel to polish the male spades for extra measure. You make need to use a needle nose to squeeze the female spade connectors.

Disconnect the battery for safety.

BTW, Carella, you must be Asian ( maybe past life), we Leary don't have R's

Tachometer problems

Draco A50G.

Thanks for the advices. Do you have a tachometer wiring schematic? How does it connect to the engine? Yes I am Asian. Nice posted Pictures.

Welcome aboard Asian Brother

OK, just use both your hands and with the finger pry the top part of the gauge and then the bottom. It will come loose very easily.

Gently pull away and you will see all the wires connected to it, get your camera to record where all the wires are if you plan to take it apart.

But I do not think that is necessary, just check each connection to insure they are tight. If you find one or more that is loose, remove and use a needle nose to squeeze the side a bit closer, that will make the contact tight. Before you replace the contact, polish the terminal with emery cloth or a dremel with polish wire brush.

PLEASE remember to disconnect the Battery.

Jim

If you really want the wiring diagram Haynes or Bentley have the proper wiring information you need, if Haynes get a magnifying glass you will need it to read it

Thanks Bro.

Where is the other end of the wire go? Does it connect to the coil in the engine compartment.
