Wayne I am just starting on my engine rebuild and am using your book. I'll let you know if I find any other errors.

Wayne,

Just a few comments on a very well thought out book. I appreciate the level of effort required in completing the project.

1. A few basics on 4 stroke gas engines would be good for folks to get aquainted with the basic parts in their engine. Valves, cams, crank, timing etc.
3. Give us a short description of oil flow in a 911 engine
4. Typical list of failure modes, what is commonly seen etc.
5. When you say, "Do this xyz..." explain the ramifications of not doing it. Small thing but I did a stupid thing by not disconnecting the reverse wires and the engine came out and nearly fell over backwards due to the reverse wires pulling it back! It didn't seem obvious to me why you had to disconnect them, it is obvious NOW!

Thanks for making my project easier and my winter less boring! The book is definitely worth the $.

Take care,

Tristan

Wayne- just a quick question:
Will you list the corrections after you send them to MBI so we can correct the books ourselves? I don't want to sound cheap, but you know.....

Thanks

BTW: If it makes you feel any better, I've purchased both books and a few of my friends have made purchases after my recommendation!
