can an 0/2 sensor be removed...
without using heat? I want to change mine and was curious what you guys had run into.
Thanks --James |
Mine came out with no problem.
Anti-sieze would probably be a good idea, but be really careful not to get it on anything but the threads. Tom |
did you use a socket?
|
|
where did you get that image from ?? cool, I will get one, I just thought I might round the nut using one.
thx man. |
Mine broke 2 cheap O2 sockets after soaking overnight in PB blaster, and eventually "came out" when I replaced the cat with a premuff. YMMV.

A box end would be better, but the crescent wrench was closer, and I am lazy. Just be carefull and take your time. Tom |
PB Blaster + O2 socket + 20" breaker bar got mine right out in a jiffy.
|
I soaked mine in PB Blaster, cut the wires and used a long handled box wrench. Came right off.
