Mine came out with no problem.

Anti-sieze would probably be a good idea, but be really careful not to get it on anything but the threads.

Nope. One of these:

Mine broke 2 cheap O2 sockets after soaking overnight in PB blaster, and eventually "came out" when I replaced the cat with a premuff. YMMV.

Shamelessly lifted from the Sears web page.:D

A box end would be better, but the crescent wrench was closer, and I am lazy. Just be carefull and take your time.

PB Blaster + O2 socket + 20" breaker bar got mine right out in a jiffy.

I soaked mine in PB Blaster, cut the wires and used a long handled box wrench. Came right off.
