Alternator woes part 2

For those that don't know. I got a rebuilt alternator from Pelican a few weeks ago only to find out the main shaft threads were not correct. So I returned that one and recieved my other one yesterday. I inspected everything and come to find out this is broke as well. Damn! When I tried to spin the shaft it stuck in a certian spot and took about 50lbs on pressure to break it loose. I thought that it was just some glue so I kept spinning it around and I never did free up in that spot. I looked like the rotor was binding on one side. So I called up pelican and they are going to send me another one.
My advice is stay away from rebuilt alternators. Get some more jingles togther and buy a new one.
