Need advice on rental or borrowing a Pyrometer....

I'd like to complete a tool test where I need a pyrometer. The results will be posted here and IMO will be technically beneficial to Pelican members.

I'd like to keep the subject quiet for now but will share details with anyone that would be willing to rent/lend me a unit.

Is there a place I could rent one of these from? OR Is a member willing to lend me a unit capable of measuring between 2000-3000 degress? I'd prefer to use the type where nothing has to physically touch (probe) the heated part when measuring temperature...the point and shoot type.

I'm willing to pay for the time I use the instrument and will of course carefully handle as if it were my own.

Any takers?

TIA

Try borrowing one from a pyromaniac.

I was hoping we had our share on the board. LOL.

I just hate buying a tool that I'll use once.

The "normal" infrared units (like Raytek) don't even go to 1000 degrees. One that can go to 2-3K degrees is going to be harder to find.
Whaddya bet the amazing Bill knows all about this stuff?
