How obsessed are you?

"recale" and I ("brawlins") were chatting the other day and wondering how much time the average Pelicanhead spends on this site each week.

I'm thinking I'm at about 5 hours a week. I see some guys like Jack Olsen with over 6000 posts!

How much time do you spend on this site per week?
(My apologies if anyone else posted a similar question recently.)

I need major therapy. Pelican and GruppeB all day long. Hundreds of pics on my computer. Loss of sleep.

Was Dr Porsche a spawn of Satan sent to Earth to contol our hearts and minds?

1 hr./day...probably more since I keep my laptop on while I watch TV at night and casually surf.

Can't Wayne pull up some user stats? I would love to see the top 10 users of the site based on time logged in.

I use an older laptop at work. I had to install a new hard drive primarily to accomodate all the pics I have downloaded from this site. I spend WAY to much time here. I have an exhaustive supply of pictures of BBI, Bill Verberg's car, Mark Wilson's car, Cary from Montana's car. The list goes on.

5 hours a week is about it for me. My wife doesn't complain because I'm home and not out carousing at the bars. I'm a "computer guy", so the site is a very comfortable place for me to learn from all of you. During the summer I spend about 10 hours a week behind the wheel of my 911 and I let her rest in the winter. This BB keeps me going through the non-driving months!

Fortunately my job affords me time and capability (IT geek has its privileges), probably 2-4 hours a day depending upon the day. Scary isn't it.

Hey, lot's of these guys had a several month to more than a year headstart, I have to catch up!

Boy, it is disturbing to think about.

Maybe 1 hour/day at home (a bit in the morning and the rest at night), it basically takes the place of TV. And 0.5-1 hour/day at work, depending on how busy I am. It basically takes the place of the water cooler.

Come to think of it, that's about how much time I always spend on the Internet. PP has just taken the time I used to spend on Rennlist and, before that, various computer tech sites.

Oh, heading out to a swap meet (not P-related) so up early.

Not that many posts...but I probably surf Pelican about 1-2 hours per day. I always read it in the morning before work, instead of the paper, then check it throughout the day at work.
Yesterdays R-Gruppe thread was good comedy

I guess I'm not the only one feeding the goats this morning.

Put me down for about an hour too.

lets just say this is the first page I open every day.
As Rush limbaugh aloquently said, I take full responsibility for my addiction! Or was it, no apology for the addiction?

No, I'm going to blame PP. Last year when I first bought my car I was minding my own business just driving it and having fun. Then I order a few parts through PP and installed them. That's where the addiction truly began. Then driving and working on the Porsche wasn't enough. I needed more. Just this month I finally started using the BB and now I'm completely hooked. Everybody on the Board is cool and way into their Porsches. All of you are enablers! No I blame you and and PP.

Ah well, who cares! This is an absolutely incredible "hobby" that I can do with my three boys for years. My oldest son who is only 3 is asking if we can build a race car together. Well, of course, I said "yes" (for his sake, you know).

I'm at home full time with a 3.5 year old. Sometimes the closest contact I have with adults (well sort of) is here.

Probably 1-2 hours per day but it varies depending on my workload. I spend most of my time here reading tech articles and looking for pictures. Oh, and dreaming/planning of my next 911.
