SSI Heat Exchangers on '70 911S
I am considering adding SSI Heat Exchangers to a stock '70 911S.
Looking for advise, what kind of added horsepower will I get. Does anyone have experience in this area ? |

You might see some HP increase, but not much as the stock heat exchangers are pretty free flowing already. The SSI's are equal length headers inside the exchanger and hence some increase, but probably not worth the cost unless your stock exchangers are rusting out.

Bruce Anderson addresses this in his Performance book which is at home. If you want I can take a look at it tonight.

SSIs are stainless copies of the units that came stock on your car.
HP increase can come with cam and displacement modifications. When, if ever, has your motor been overhauled?
