Finally got some Fuchs
Just the standard 6+7's but in almost mint condition - unused for almost 17 years!
![]() ![]() I'm beginning to think about removing the front fogs. I never use them and they clutter the lines. Maybe the front lip too. |

Looks much better with the fuchs than the cookie cutters. They look like they are in nice shape too! Nice photo work in your "my photos" gallery.

Fuchs>>>cookies in my opinion.
As always the shots are great. If you can forgive the liberty, I grabbed one and tweaked it a bit. ![]()

That is a fine looking 911! My pulse raced just seeing that thing.
For me personally, I LOVE Fuchs with black painted centers on Carrera's and SC's. Enjoy. Mike |

As always Stefan you've got a great eye for color and form. I especially like the second photo down that has the great interplay between the platinum in the car, the sky, and the gravel. It's a nice blending of cold meets warm. It says fall is here.
Oh yes, and the wheels are perfect for an 81' Platinum SC or is it Meteor?

get rid of the front lip and fogs. They are junk, give them to me and I'll "dispose" of them for you for really cheep!!!!!
By the way, beautiful car, love the color. Looks just like mine (except with chin spoiler and fogs).

Looks superb.
How much do you want for the MTB frame on your garage roof? |

The clear indicators and repeaters are a nice touch too.

Glad you liked the photos. It's definately an improvement. Yes, it's platinum metallic. I think I got the clear lights from type911.co.uk.
The problem with the clear indicators in the US is that you have two-piece lights in the bumper. You might not find both parts in clear. I've also seen very dark smoked ones - which look great in the bumper. You don't see them at all - it just looks like the rubber continues all the way round. |

Gotta say ... great pics again. IMHO the Fuchs make a HUGE difference to the overall look of the car, compared to the Cookie Cutters.

Although visually appealing.... wouldn't removing the front lip be a sketchy move (aerodynamically) ??

I do like the early models - but I don't like the rust. I thought about back dating mine but it's in too good nick and too much of an 80's colour.
Removing the lip isn't a problem at all. It's only supposed to have one on the front if it's got a spoiler on the back. It's ok to just have the front one - but not the other way 'round. |

Definately an improvement! I felt the same when I got rid of my Cookie Cutters, except my rear ride height is so high at the moment that it looks kind of stupid.
