Question 911 wheel upgrade

I am looking at a set of rims from a newer 911( I believe) and was wondering if anyone knows if the rims will work on my old dog. The rim is a 5 spoke factory wheel with slots cut out of the spokes. The front and rear are different. The frt are 205/50R16 one very good tire.2 frt rims 7JX16 ET40. Two rear very good tires are 205/55 R16 6X16 ET30. I can email a picture of the wheel to anyone who wants to take a crack at the application.
Regards, Dave. The wheel is called a sport Techno

I'm not sure about wider wheels on the front than on the rear Dave. If you use the search button on the upper right of the screen you will find many many useful threads all about wheels and fittiments on all years of the 911.

good luck!

Actually I was going to purchase the wheels, I cut and pasted the description. so I wasnt going to put the larger wheels on the front.

If they come from a post-89 911, you will need spacers to fit them on a pre-89 911. Spacers are pretty expensive, and (in my opinion, at least) the newer wheels look odd on the older body style.
