brakes cooling ?
I all
I posted a few hours ago about my RS project.... "happy owner"..... May someone give me advices about brakes : I still want to use the stock aluminium calipers to be close to the "classic era", did you experience that on tracks Shall i cool the calipers ? to be a bit more efficient.... another question : what price would be a plastic front RS bumper, and front flares in your country ? they are a bit expensive in France ![]() Many thanks Philippe |

Yes, I would recommend cooling ducts to your front brakes if you are going to use the "S" calipers on the track. Depending on the weight of your car, the ambient temps, and how hard you drive, it is very easy to have them fade in a 20-minute track session. Quote:

The ducting for cooling should go to the rotor eye w/ a blockoff to keep the cool air inside the rotor, If you want additional cooling another duct can be run to the inner face of the rotor and/or the calipers, sort of like this which is not particularly good because it counteracts the natural flow

Bill, somehow you manage to make my every project seem small and underdone.
