ST Project. fitment of body and wheels

Here is my weekend update...

I rolled the car from the garage yesterday and fit panels. I started with the doors. Then I aligned the fenders to the doors and finally the hood to the fenders. Next I leveled the suspension and bolted up the wheels.

You may see that there will be HUGE rubber under the 4 corners. The wheels may also look familiar. BB1 lives on East Coast style. 17" fuchs with 255 rubber just looks spectacular.

Next is the headliner, dash and glass.

It finally looks like a car again. It has been exactly two years ago this weekend that I stripped the tub of its parts.

Hi Jamie,
Most excellent job. The work on the correct fitting of the FG fenders is amazing.

Yes, they're the old street set from BB1.

Jack, Thanks for the photoshop work. It looks much better with a correct ride height. Although, the rally look with the lifted suspension is sort of intriging. Maybe I should clean and paint those steelies that it rolled around on to get painted.

George, there is TOO many hours involved with the fenders. They are about as good as they can get. There are other painstaking areas of the car that has dragged it out for so long. Most of them will not even show once its finished. But that is the sign of good work I suppose. Thanks for the compliments.

If the week goes well, I might have to put the engine in next weekend. It will be drivable just in time to put it away for the winter. Of course, the chassis is coated with POR15. I suppose I could keep the ride height and just say, bring on the snow... Do they make Blizzaks in a 155/70/15 for the steelies?
