The Beast Runs Again!
Gentlemen, the Beast runs again! I fired her up for the first time yesterday. I was actually surprised because it fired right up, nothing went wrong. Since I totally rewired everything I was thinking something just had to be wrong. But everything was correct and it fired up!
I really like the sound of the Magnaflow muffler too. It is actually much quieter than my previous exhaust but still has that certain growl to it. I should be able to take it on the road tomorrow so I’ll get a better idea what it sounds like overall. I still have some major computer tuning to do because everything has changed so I really have to re-map all of it. I’ll keep you guys posted. ![]() |

Do you have to re-map the computer if a new muffler was attached?

Blue, I found the insulation at the Pamona swapmeet (you may have heard about Pamona). The product has a high heat barrier effect as well as sound deadining. It's a place call ProRod, they are at:
http://www.prorodinc.com/ DD, I have to re-map because of going from a supercharger setup to twin turbos, different injectors, etc. Camp, yes I know....and I have admitted it several times....publicly. |

Unbelievable--that looks incredible! I am sick with jealousy and admiration--great job! And I get proud of myself over installing a new steering wheel! Ha!

Turbo-cars are actually pretty quiet beacuse turbo itself shatters the high-pitched soundwaves.
