Need new AMP socket; part #?

For 83 SC, I need a new plug socket (AMP) and I don't really understand how to navigate AMP's website to determine what their part number is. Porsche part # is 022906231A, according to PET. Can anyone cross reference this number for me?

Porsche Crest

Mike,

It would be helpful to know what part you are looking for ...

This is a plug socket (the male portion) in the wiring harness for the CIS.

Porsche part #022906231A, as noted on my post. Plugs into the socket that is part of the intake manifold between cyl's 1 and 2.

Item #5 on the PET for an 83 SC. Actually, this same socket is used in several places in the harness.

Mike,

Give me some more info about where on the PET you found this. In the upper left corner, what is the info (ie. year, model, MG, SG, illustration) I may be able to help you with this.

PET info:

Model 911, Yr 83, MG 9, SG 02, Illustration 902-22

There are actually 3 item 5's in this illustration. All refer to the same part number, but I am replacing the one that is in the middle of the illustration.

Thanks

Mike,
We must have different versions of PET. I do not have a illustration 902-22. I looked at a 1989 and found that they have a great section with all of the various connectors for the car. I found the part number trhat you are speeking of and have attached a picture for you to look at. Let me know if this is it. If it is, I have Wurth part number for you. 5-7065 . I actually have 2 of these in my parts cabinet. They are used for several connectors on the CIS. I had ordered them to replace a few of mine. If you have a lot of trouble finding them I am sure I could let one go.

Very nice, those are great illustrations of various connectors. You picked the right one as the part numbers match. Now I need to source the Wurth part, starting with our host of course.

Many thanks

Let me know if you need any other help. And if you can't source them also let me know. As much as I like to keep as many spares as I can I will let one go to help someone on the board. I think Pelican buys hardware from Wurth but if they can't help you let me know and I will supply you with the contact info from the box.
