new rubber-Wayne and Jack

I think there was a general misunderstanding as to what I'm looking for. I am looking for the actual rubber material with similar profile as Porsche body seals, to make my own seals. This would be no different to someone buying vinyl or carpet to do their own interior work. If Pelican sells this material then great, but I was not aware of it. I am not shopping for replacement seal prices. It just came to my attention that many of the main body seals have a similar profile and if someone carried the material, it may be a worth while project. I hope this is ok. I wish someone would have contacted me.

Ok I've been festering about this for hours now. I feel as a customer, I've been accused of wrong doing rather than being asked how I can be helped. The internet can be a very impersonal means of communication and I'm sure I would not have been accussed of being disrespectful if I where on the phone or there in person. I assume someone would have explained what was available from Pelican or at the least asked what I was trying to accomplish.

The company that springs to mind is Steels (do a web search)
They make just about any profile you could think of.
Also...they will do custom profiles if you buy enough at the first order.

Allen, FYI - from your post, it's hard to figure out what you're talking about.

Are you just looking for long rolls of rubber to make weather striping?

I understand that my original post was unclear and have taken responsibility for it by apologizing to Wayne. My car would be in pieces around the country if it were not for this sight and the people on it. I felt I personnally let everyone down when I read Wayne thought I had been disrespectful. Next time I will not post when on cold medicine and a shot of bourbon

Try www.soffseal.com

They make weatherstripping for lots of car manufacturers and are big in the street rod market.
