On my 87 Carrera, my brake pedal is considerably higher (closer) than either the clutch or the accelerator. Normal? It is somewhat annoying.

If it' sthe same design as on an SC then it's adjustable.
Pull out the carpet, remove the wooden floor board and crawl in there. You should see a linkage bar that is length adjustable. If I recall, I had to remove the end of the shaft that was attached to the pedal. In hindsight it may have been easier to remove both ends, shorten it and re-install. The goal is to have the brake pedal height at the same level as the accelerator when the brake is fully applied. That's for heel and toe work you see. Do be careful that the brakes will still apply fully after you lower the pedal. There's plenty of room so you shouldn't have a problem, just make sure you try it with the engine running and the brake booster all charged up before you tear on down the road. I have no idea why the brake pedal is set up so high from the factory. ![]()

The brake pedal should be even with the clutch. I've seen misadjusted clutch cables that left the clutch pedal lower than the brake pedal - you could pull the clutch pedal back an inch of so with your hand.
The brake pedal lines up with the gas pedal under hard braking - like you do at the track. See this post for my reasons for not adjusting the brake pedal: 911 pedals -Chris

Your clutch is too low. I would look into that. There are a couple springs that could be missing or lack of lube or like Chris said adj.

does the g50 have the same return spring at the peddal that the 915's do? if so maybe yours is broken/not hooked up. i would agree with dean in that it appears your clutch peddal is low.

No the G50 is different. There are 3 adjustments if I remember that sort of have to be correct to be in spec.
