Quicker steering ratio?
Hi,
My 72 911 has a steering ratio like a school bus. Are there steering racks out there that have a quicker ratio? Thanks, mto

Yes. Lindsey Racing sells one. It reduces the 3 revolutions to 2.3.
I personally don't think this would be worthwhile for track use, but it might be nice for autocross.

Yeah, a smaller-diameter steering wheel (like Pelican's 930S repro) is probably a better bang-for-the-buck approach. You'll have the same number of total rotations, but you'll be moving the wheel edge a shorter distance -- and you'll have a cool-looking steering wheel, too.

I already have a smaller wheel...but I suppose I could go even smaller. It's tough to get the car through high speed slaloms with the current setup.

I don't know if it would fit but the 930 racks are quicker.
