Talking I suddenly feel very inadequate...

I'm sure that most of us have seen the various Nurburgring videos such as K9's and Derek Bell's. There's even the famous Ruf Nurburgring video where the driver is pretty quick, but generally seems more intent on getting the car sideways and spinning the tires.

Well check out this guy in a GT3. (Note that you'll need to right click and save as... ) There's no spinning tires, smoke shows or bling bling. This guy is just "hauling the mail" around the 'Ring like I have never seen nor could imagine. Something to the order of ~8.45 minutes per lap. The amount of time that he is at wide open throttle through some sections is amazing.

The scary thing is that if you watch closely, you'll notice that he was only the 2nd fastest guy on the track at the time!!!

PS: And to top it off, he was able to get this good quality video of 2 laps into "only" 70 meg's. I found it while following a different thread, but I figured that it deserved a listing of it's own.

BTW - Here's the complete web site.

Yes, this came up earlier...I'd love to see where that black Porsche went to that had pole position!

And I don't remember the 'Ring being so long?

Frank's going pretty darn fast to catch air on a few occasions.

I too was pretty shocked by how fast he flies thru some of those turns. The pass he pulls on the white 996 GT-whatever is pretty cool. A quick "Excuse me!" and he passes the guy under braking on the outside. That's fast.

There are a couple of places where I remembered a quote from Han J. Stuck...

Can someone tell us where in the movie the best parts are? I can't really watch a nine minute video at work.

WOW! I only wish I had a sound card! (imagine me sitting at my desk making up the audio) Did I see a light rain coming down at one point? Whoever he is he's got great big brass ones! Back to the inadequatecy thing

It's actually a 21 minute video!

I believe the cool pass is around the 5 min. mark

Yep, that's a light rain and it doesn't seem to be phasing him (Frank Stippler) a bit.

You must have hours upon hours upon hours of track time around the Nurburgring to be able to go as fast around it as this guy is doing. Cool stuff.

I still enjoy the Yellowbird video though. Not as fast, but the powerslides and tire smoke are pretty amusing.

The Turbo Lotus Seven is pretty awesome as well.

The GixxerKart is just nuts.

This video is a real pleasure for those who wonder how the 'ring look from inside the car...
And kudos to the driver, he's really-really-really good.

In some places its unbeleivable the speed... I wonder what the max speed was on that long straight...

wow!
Thanks for the video

Several times during this video, I find myself kicking underneath the desk here in my office, in search of a non-existing brake pedal

This absolutely has to be the best in-car video I have EVER seen, thanks for sharing! Even though it humiliates the rest of us...

Very impressive, even though he let the Lotus jump him at the start & by the forth corner the black GT3 had checked out. It would have been interesting to see if he could have hung with the other Pcar.
