Got my new plates...
Maybe a little presumptuous on my part, but other enthusiasts should appreciate it. Sorry the car's dirty - a lot of construction around here!

I like it. Requires a little thinking, that's over the head of most commuters, but appreciated by 'us'.
Even my plate "TYPE 911" got queries from non-porschephiles as to why i wanted reference to Sept 11 on my plates!! mike '86 coupe-also w/ SteveW's chip.

Thanks, guys! I actually stole the idea from a hot-rod BMW 2002 that had "M3 DNA" plates. BTW, the "PV" means Prevent Violence, which is a special fund-raising plate, but I like to claim it means Porsche Vehicle.
Off topic - hope you CA guys are avoiding the flames! I've been close to floods, tornados and lightning strikes, but those out-of-control flames coming at you must be even more frightening.
