The 72 T transformation
Well it took about 10 months to do and without this board it wouldnt have happened.Ive restored mostly fords in my time but this one was probabbly in the worst shape. As the pics show it was pretty bad.I kept the original color and added the logo on the sides, which i wasnt at first going to do but i think she looks pretty sporty. The engine is all stock with only 50000n on her i did all the upgrades and resealed her she runs pretty good for a T. Thanks again.

I'd love to see any engine pics you've got, both in the car and out. Rust repair? and interior restoration pics.

Wow Paul,
That looks terrific. I like the 911R style side decals. 11 months. That's fast. It looks like the car came with some nice extras. Deep sixes and a S metal front bumper. Are those deep sixes or 5.5 x 15s'?

Paul, that's one pretty car. What color (paint code) is that? My '72 was originally light ivory (judging from the plate on the door), but was painted at some point a color very similar to yours. I'm thinking light yellow, but I could be wrong. I know I should paint mine the original light ivory, but I really like the yellow and yours is pretty darn close to what I'd like.
Thanks, Jim |

You CAN turn a sow's ear into a silk purse! Great job. You have every right to feel proud about what you've done.

Your car looks fantastic. I love the colour and the decals look very nice too.
Did you replace most of the pannels? Im getting my car restored after christmas, and after seeing your car, I'm now even considering yellow as a possible colour.

Thanks guys as far as the pics of the engine that i dont have.As for the rust i grinded the rust pretty good and applied por-15 to the areas then i sanded the areas and aplied a top-coat recommended by por-15 then i applied a putty coat and then a high build primer from there i wet sanded and applied my base coat then the clear. The body panels are all original. The car came from the factory with the s style wheels and s-air dam. The interior is yet to be finished. It looks great to me concidering the condition of the car.The car was parked under a pine tree and the sap from the tree litterally ate the paint creating the huge rust spots.

To me it was too loud I wanted to give my neighbers a break as im running straight pipes on my bike. Its for sale and in really good shape i sealed it with por-15 exhaust coating.I guess you could say this car is held together with it. The stuff is amazing.

Excellent job, Paul! You should be very proud to have brought that 911T back to life!
Nothing wrong at all with a good-running MFI 'T' engine! Makes all the right music/noises at speed!!!
