It was not offered by the factory. It was designed by Butzi, though, th eguy who designed the 911.
Loooks good ina 911. Prices vary, but you should find an OK one for about 150$

George,
Is that interior green or is just the lighting?

George,

What is the approximate O.D. of the wheel... do you think it would look out of place in an early car?

Chris,
Special wishes. Olive green interior with brick red exterior:

Derek,
the OD is 380mm, same as the std 3 spoke that started in 1974. The early wheels were 400mm. As for looking god, it is a matter of taste. I prefer an RS or prototipo in the early cars.

Just curious, was it your "special wish"?
That color combo is a bit odd, but I love it!

What; in a Captain Kirk sort of a way?

edit: . . .in a Captain Kirk "martian babe" sort of a way?

I have never, I repeat never, been aroused by Jim Kirk. This arousal is more in a 7 of 9 sort of way.

The first owner of that 930 is a guy who finished 3rd at Le Mans in 1979 in a 935, behind Klaus Ludwig, and... Paul Newman.
He ordered the car this color combination based on his experience of 30+ years of selling furniture. It surprises at first but you get to love it.
The car has an alarm, and noting else in the way of luxury. No sunroof, no electric seats, no AC. It was built with beefier suspension, a little more HP (about 320 in 1983), and it seeems a larger master cylnder for the brakes which have a hard pedal and nice modulation based on pressure rather than travel. It has been tweaked to 380-400 HP about 3 years ago, and has a massive hunger for tires and fuel.
The second owner, is a lady. My lady

And this is on top of the Gavia in Italy, alt.8650ft.

Love the green. Wish I had the green interior. Wouldn't mind that horse power either.

Mark, thanks!
Paul, no, she's very even tempered, rarely ever screams, and cooks like no one.

Oh! the Car! Oh yes! very short tempered. When we first saw it, it had P-Zero Cs, and half a pound of slick fragments stuck on the front oil cooler. We thought it was grey leather with tinted windows. Talk about a shock!
