For a salvage title with an automatic? Maybe. As a daily driver, the tiptronic would be kinder to the driver, but I don't know if I could live with it.

Can the car be fixed for less than 6K? If so, you could always flip it for, what, 25-ish? What's a salvage 993 worth?

I merged the two threads.

What's the estimated cost to repair it?

Are you looking at it as something to fix and sell, or is it a keeper?

I wouldn't want to own a car that has been damaged that badly, and I certainly wouldn't want the Karma of passing off a wrecked car as a clean title one. Pass unless you want the parts. In that case you can make them a lower offer, and see if they take it.

Notice the tow hook is in place. Must have happened on a race track. Does the engine check out?

Victor,

Who would race a Tiptronic? My guess is that the tow hook was used to get the car out of a deep ditch.

Matt, you would be suprised how many tiptronics are entered in PCV events. Usually boxters and greyhaired stockbroker types that show up once.

But your right - there could be a myriad of reasons for it being in place. Either way, I would not touch this car with a 10' pole.

No, even the roof and windshield frame are bent. I would expect the suspension is bent in the front and rear as well. I would say the car is worth what ever the engine/trans plus a $2K for misc. parts.

$10K - $12K
