Ohhhh...Data!!!!

The air filter test is fantastic. After reading through a K&N ad in the Performance Products catalog (for Jeeps), I concluded that K&N and Performance Products must think Jeep owners are Morons.

Reduced pressure drop will only effect the car's performance at WOT. At Part throttle, it makes no difference _where_ the pressure drop and restriction comes from, be it the air filter or the throttle. The only time an air filter will have an effect on performance in non-WOT conditions is with a carb or other non-airflow/non-MAP fuel system, since the metering expects a certain pressure drop.
