what is my CIS system worth? 930

I am toying with, well more than toying , the idea of fuel injection for my 930. I am about to pull the motor and was wondering what the whole CIS might bring or if there is even a market for it. The buyer would get EVERYTHING except the fuel pumps. I mean every sensor, hose, wire, etc... This is off a '77 930 which I believe has the better fuel distributor. Any ideas? Again, EVERYTHING would go. Thanks,

Joel

No one? Well maybe my original plan of videotaping its destruction whilst sipping a nice brew are still in order. Hmmm

I think all of us are in a similar position. Why repair/ replace a limited system, when the big HP is out there with EFI. Not much of a market.
Kind of like the stock intercoolers and turbos. They make decent paper weights and door stops.

Too true, I have a 3LDZ with 10k miles on it rotting on my bench. I may pitch the sucker soon as I cant see anyone wanting it. I stare at my engine bay and am in awe at all the CIS crap I can eliminate. The price tag for EFI hurts though.

Well if you actually do have the earlier solid steel fuel distibutor, that would be worth something to a 930 owner that wants to improve their CIS system. These are no longer available and the later model aluminum ones are something like $1500 (and are not as good). I could see $300 - 400 for the fuel head. The part number for the better fule head is: 0-438-100-037. These can be modified to support over 500 HP (I am at 475 with mine and have room for more power if I wanted it).
