I picked up the headers Saturday and they are the equal length shortys with street adapters. So I won't have to cut on them afterall. And as a bonus Embs is sending me a Supertrapp. So I just need to buy another one and rock on.

Got the Supertrapp! Thanks Embs! It is a 5" dia. 19" long. Wait till you see the custom endcaps we are fabbing...

Embs 11-25-2003 03:52 AM

Cool, take pictures of the custom endcaps. Sorry about the tarnish...

Will a new one tarnish fairly quickly? Or Should I polish the used one up?

Dude you sent me a $180 muffler with extras and wouldn't even let me pay for shipping...A little tarnish is not a big deal.:D

Dunno? That muffler was on an engine I had for about two weeks.

If it's brushed stainless a light sanding cleans it up.

I'll try a little scotchbrite tonight. Anyone else have a 5"dia. 19" long brushed stainless Supertrapp layin around for cheap???

Just a little tip for Supertrapp users (in case you didn't know)....
Be sure to coat the disc retaining screws with a liberal amount of hi-temp anti-seize. Or consider them *permanent*!

OUCH!!!

did you ever get those Supertrapps mounted. I getting a set of SSis and I was thinking of going with a set of Supertrapp S/ C series at 18 inches long with 4 inch ends, or a M&K Track Muffler with the Disc only Supertrap at the end? Any thoughts?

My car from the previous owner had the headers to individual SuperTrapps. Very restrictive with the discs. VERY load when completely open.

Now I have M&K 2 in/2 out attached to the same headers (plus header extension pipes). End of discussion. ;)

Several of the guys that run in the PRC Toyo spec use the Coast Fab mufflers on the ends of headers or SSIs (they just bolt up) and they're LOUD! On WOT they absolutely wail, but in a good way. I'm guessing here, but I don't think they would pass sound at Laguna. The best solution may just be two muffler setups. The Coasts for Sears, T-hill, Buttonwillow, etc and a stock 2-in, 2-out for Laguna.
