Unhappy cold start problem

1977 S would not start cold would take 5 or more times to start thae I had my warm up regulator rebuilt and it took care of the problem but now I am smoking like hell seems to be white smoke could this be a problem with the injection tune prior to this it ran well and did not smoke?

Are you getting a good, fat spark on all of your plugs? Did you recently change plugs or wires?

You may want to double-check the spark plug gap and the integrity of the wires. Also check for vacuum leaks and fuel supply. Be sure the backfire valve is seated correctly.

I have to use the hand throttle when my car is cold and the hand throttle lever wasn't connected to the throttle, so it wasn't working. I replaced the lever and reconnected it to the throttle linkage next to the drivers seat, in the tunnel and all's well again!
