Talking Wipers..Please Help.

OK I have this great wife, she loves driving the 72 911 (which means she doesn't want a new car) however the wipers have decided to start "parking" in her line of sight, which is about 5" off the bottom of the windshield. I have tied adjusting the wipers by moving them down in the park postion but you guessed it, they then go down past the windshield and onto the paint. So if I don't get this fixed it could cost me a new car!

I hope you showed her this thread. Most Porsche guys would get a new wife rather than change their p-car.

Wish I could help you on that one, but have no idea.

I have no doubt that someone will have the definative answer.

There is a technical article at the Pelican site on how to park the wipers on the opposite side. End of problem. If the wipers are parking in a different spot than they used to, I would suspect the contacts in the wiper motor or a linkage issue if the wipers are otherwise working correctly.

Could be the wiper motor or the wiper switch. Mine occasionally does the same thing when it is really humid and it is a problem with the switch, if I wiggle the switch it will go the rest of the way down. I have had cars in the past with bad motors that wouldn't park correctly as well.
