That is about 300% better looking than a 996. Has a Bentley look from the back. I like it. Please adios the 996.

Now if they'd just put the hood vent back in, we might be on speaking terms again.

i've seen that pic a long time ago. i'm almost positive thats a beetle, yes a beetle front end photoshopped onto a 996. you can see the cutlines above the headlights

You may have right, i totally agree with you. It looks a little like the beetle.

I had hope anyone heard of a Porsche 997, i really hope they take the round headlights back at least.

Those pics are really cool. two points:

1. Those driving lights are "hella" cool. sorry.

2. Is that one porsche towing the other?

Looks like they finally are giving credit to what the 911 came from. All though there are other issues, at least the return of the round head lights is a step. Now if they can drop 300-400 lbs i think porsche would be on track again.

How about changing the horrific 996 taillights, and we might be on to something?

I thought in a thread about a month ago, we concluded those shots are of the next Boxster?

They look great to me, using a little imagination to get through the cladding, and I sure hope they are the next 911.

The pic at the top is indeed the 997 and is not a photoshop. The last pic is also a heavily disguised 997 being tested and is not the boxter.

Yep, I don't know about the top pic, but the others are disguised 911's to keep us from knowing exactly what it will look like. The front bumper is just a shell to cover the real front end underneath.

Thank goodness for the new headlights, that is definitely a move in the right direction.

I for one would love to see the red bar between the tailights carried over from the 996 C4S to the 997. That in combination with round headlights and a curvy body would make me more inclined to buy one, if I could afford one.

Put me down as another vote for the hood vent. I think they could do something to mimick one and not suffer a huge drag penalty. It is getting better.
