Horn Help. Need to pass inspection.

I took my horns off when I did my Carrera front oil cooler. Now I have no horns. It's been a while and now I need them to pass inspection. I have the original wires and connectors still in the original location. Do any of you have any experience installing a horn other than OEM and one that installs easily?

I put air horns on my 76' I think i paid about $20.00 for them they work great and are louder than the factory one's. Check Harbor Freight or Auto Zone I think that is where I got mine at

Pelican sells the small flat Hella horns. Easy install.

Or you could just bolt one of these to your side-view mirror.

I hate Performance Products, but they sell a Hella kit which is really nice and pretty inexpensive. You have to add a relay going to the battery, and they bolt into the stock location or if you can't do that because of the new oil cooler maybe you could attach them elsewhere, they're the round type not like the trumpet horns so they take up less space. And they are very loud. I had them on my '67 912 and if you held the horn down long enough you could vibrate the gas flap open with them.

Should be no problem if the wiring and horn relay are still in place...piece of cake. the black wire goes to the positve terminal of the horn and the brown to the negative(ground) terminal.
