1973 911T side mirror(s)
The original driver's side mirror was replaced on my 1973 911T with rectangular mirrors on both sides of the vehicle. I need new side mirror(s), and since the passenger side now has holes drilled, I'm trying to find a pair of chrome mirrors that will look decent on the car. Someone recommended "Tasker" rectangular chrome mirrors, but I can't find a pair. Any suggestions?

I think there's a BMW 2002 mirror that people use as a substitute. There was also a somewhat larger chrome rectangle mirror used in 74-75, that allows greater visibility.

I hate to plug another company since Pelican does so much for us so please forgive me.
Performance Products caries repro mirrors including passenger side ones to match.

I've got the Johnson book so I'll have to check, but my believed to be original mirrors are rectangular.

I have the rectangular ones -- mine are the BMW ones I think.
You might look fo the unpainted Al rectangular ones for a '74 911 -- they are larger so give a better view (but will increase drag and wind noise a bit). |

For me, the original small ones were frustrating. The 74 ones offer a lot more visibility.

just saw an old ad while reading an intro test on the 911....
The Talbots came in a large and a small diameter. They were used by PAG on the 904. |
