engine drop - surflvr911sc mishap - what happened here?

Browsing tips in: this thread ...and was wondering exactly how this occured. Something about a spring @ the transmission popping off? How can us others avoid looking like you? Er...I mean, what to do to avoid this hazard?

LOL, lot of good it did me. Maybe I should start wearing a full face helmet.

I was taking off the clutch release lever. Off came the circlip, then the clutch positioning lever, then bam! Clutch release lever right on the forehead. I had no idea it would come off so easy.

To avoid this, hold on to it when you take the circlip off and remove both levers together. Mass quantities of alcohol if you forget.
