Front strut angle
Guys:
If I want to change the front camber by 0.2 degrees....how much of a change is that in terms of how much the upper shock mount ( bolting) must move? This is for an 85 Carrera ( normal torsion bar set up). ---Wil Ferch |

ride height will effect that a whole lot, so I am not sure there is an answer that can be given. I am also pretty sure you will not be able to tell the difference with that little of a change, so it may not be worth the effort.

Jim:
I won't go into details..but in this case, I assure you 0.2 degrees ( equivalent to 12 minutes-of-angle) will accomplish what I want. Car is at Euro ( or Euro+smidge) ride height....25.5+" front. Front wheel is Fuchs 7 x16 with 205's. Rolling diameter is stock ( 24.9"). ---Wil

Wil,
At normal ride heights, the camber change is about .1 degree per mm of strut top movement. Effectively; inverse tan 1mm/550mm (strut length) Regards Hayden |
