This glove box rattle is driving me insane!!!
AAARGH!!! Drive with glove box open no noise, close it and it rattles like a freakin Camaro.
Anyone know how to make rattle go away and still have functional glove box? alf

Have you tightened the large nut on the back of the latch? Mine comes loose all the time and the glove box rattles.

My usual approach for anything that rattles is to whack it with a hammer a few times.

Or fold up a bit of papper and poke it in a gap somewhere. This method usually works with Toyota rattles - my SC doesn't rattle

I once met a guy that went so crazy with toyota rattles he filled all of the empty spaces between the interior panels and the body with 2 part foam. dont think it worked though

I've used the cheap 1/4 inch foam weather stripping, the kind with peel-off sticky tape on one side, on the inside edges of the door. It absorbes the rattles pretty well and can't be seen once installed. You can find this stuff at places like Lowes or Home Depot. Probably Wal-Mart too. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

It's that Carrera death rattle. They all do that. Cause they wish they were an SC! Nah just kidding. If the large nut on the lock is not loose and the smaller fasteners at the bottom are not, then you need to add 2 small black rubber bumpers on the face of the dash where the lid meets it. You should have at least one, maybe two now unless they have fallen off. It will take a while to get these as they are special order, so you can buy some at most hardware stores that will work just as well. They are used as cushions under things or to keep cabinet doors from banging when they close. If you get ones that are too thin, you can stack them to achieve the desired result. Here is the Porsche part if you go that route:

Fixed it!
Stuck some felt to the top edge of the box door, especially on the right top corner. The 2 little rubber spacers on the glove box was worn and not keeping the metal on the door from rubbing on the metal of the box. alf happy.
