78-83 cdi box pinouts?

Would anyone by chance know the pinouts for a 78-83 bosch 6 pin cdi box? I know two wires must go to the (hall sensor)spelling?) Right now the two wires comming out of that sensor are not labeled. I have heard if I hook them up backwards it will burn it out. Is there any way to determine the correct wires from the hall sensor to the cdi box?

Thanks for reading this and any input will be greatly appreciated. Have a happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt

Okay I now know that the box is labeled as...

pin(1)31/1 pin(2)TD pin(3)31d
pin(4)A pin(5)15 pin(6)7

Can anyone tell me what each of these numbers represent?

Thanks
Matt

Not sure if this answers your question but thought it might help
perma-tune shows the pin out. go to the technical support selection for your particular car.

http://www.perma-tune.com/Products/Ignition%20modules/Porsche/Porsche%20Products.htm

example of 911sc and 930 6 pin:
1 = System ground 4 = Not Used
2 = Tachometer signal 5 = Power
3 = Signal ground (distributor pin B) Green wire shield 6 = Signal (distributor pin A) Green wire center conductor

Reversing these wires does nothing. doesn't even change the timing.

The wires from the distributor (reluctance magnetic pickup & not Hall) MUST
be oriented correctly or the ignition timing will be retarded. The CDI unit
senses the negative edge of the dist. signal to generate a spark. Reversing
the wires will result in a very poor running car.

Good Luck
