Are beginners welcomed? Will have to run it by the boss but it could work.

For the install, sure, the more hands the better. Have a few things to do before its fired up, install the new fuel pump, splice a few wires, and I wanted to change out the shifter bushings, have to see what I can get done on sat.

Let me know and I can send a map.

Are beginners welcomed? I will check but Monday is a holiday so it may just work.

jhelgesen 01-13-2004 07:08 PM

mmmm, holiday. My kids get that day off, but I don't. Find out what the boss says. She could always come along and do the antique thing around Pinehurst and Southern Pines, if she likes that kind of thing.

Wayne (and everyone else there) is the man. Just checked tracking and my package is on the truck out for delivery a day early.

So we're on track for the engine install on sunday, got the little stuff to do on Sat.

Anyone got a problem with Brats cooked on the grill on Sunday after the motor is in?

Since I'm stuck on my rebuild I should be able to make it. Am I going to have to bring the peppers and onions?

Halm 01-15-2004 06:45 AM

Sunday? Ouch. Panther game and crummy weather forecast. So I probably won't make it.

Mmmm, grilled onions, good plan. I'll pick some up.

Anyone need beer?

Here's a crazy idea, since I have a wireless net router at the house, wonder if I could set up a webcam and broadcast the install? Anyone got experience with that?

Peppers and onions...wonderful...

Brats...even better...

Beer...PRICELESS!

I will try to be there; is the 18th a definite date at this point?

Yep, 18th is definite. Might just have to sit the beer outside to be cold. :)

I do also have a tv in the shop for those that might want to keep track of the game.

I'll get a map up tonight.

jhelgesen 01-15-2004 04:10 PM

I've thought about it and I'm not keen on putting a map to my house up on the web. So, if you need directions please email me or pm me and I'll fix you up.

Thanks

This Sunday is good with me, wife off to AZ. I just need directions coming from Sanford. May leave 911 home due to pending rain, have a cab and the top leaks.

jhelgesen 01-16-2004 10:26 AM

Sent a PM to those that had expressed interest, let me know if I left anyone out. Weather may be wet, but will be 62 degrees. Shop is indoors with some heat, should be fine.

jhelgesen 01-17-2004 06:56 AM

Prep is going well so far, got a list hung in the shop of stuff to do. No fun trying to find parts that have been apart for over a year.

Anyone got a spare front bearing cap 911.341.684.00 they can bring?

70SWT 01-17-2004 07:58 AM

What time is this thing going to start, and anticipated to run to?

jhelgesen 01-17-2004 08:17 AM

I plan on being out in my shop at 9am. Goes till whenever everyone is tired of being there. :)
