Jeremy Clarkson really hate Porsches...

Just watched a tv-program when "Jeremy Clarkson rates the top 100 cars thru all years" in the 98 place the 911 were and he just talked it down completely then smacked it in a wall on purpose.. damn it hurt to see it. should be a punishment for doing that.

On second place the 996 turbo came and as he said "it's hurt to put a Porsche this high in the ranking, but..."

Yep, his video where he destroys an old 911 has been on the board, he smacks several walls and eventually drops it from a crane.

He's coming round to the idea. Much as it pained him to do so he did rate the GT3 as the best car he had driven in 2003 !

I wouldn't piss on that guy if he was on fire, after seeing how he destroyed that early car.

I found the video great! First he says a bunch of $$%# about Porsches and then drops a piano on it, smacks into several walls and complains that it is built like a tank! Finally he does make it undrivable by suspending it from a crane and dropping it.
He may have thought he was sharing his hatred for Porsche...when in reality, INMYHOP he showed what a well built car a Porsche is!

Clarkson once referred to the 911 as an "ass-engined, Nazi slot-car."

Where can I get that video footage of Clarkson destroying an old 911?

Well, the slot car part was a compliment even if he didn't mean it.

I don't know who this Clarkson is and that is all well with me.

Cheers.

He dislikes almost all German cars, loves British, loves Italian, even loved the sweedish koenegsegg(sp?) If you watch a lot of his shows you'll see he regularly admits a dislike for German cars especiallty BMW and Porsche. His trusty sidekick Tiff on the other hand loves BMWs....

Don't know why though.

I do agree, he really made the car look good. Without the pyrotectnics, I wonder if it would have survived the crane drop? What's really sad, that car looked nicer than mine.

He is very big on himself! He also dislikes Americans because we offer to many choices as to how we want our eggs cooked at breakfast!!! I lived in England for 6 years, he is a presenter on Top Gear GTI. He also said that we are all fat and slow!! I guess he doesn't have any mirrors in his multi million pound home!!!

I guess you can say that I'm not a fan!

What ever happen to Tiff Needell? I liked him as the host much better.

He likes the 996 turbo.

He said its a good car and it has perhaps the best sorted chassis of any road car he has any driven. He has said that it is a better car than the 355.

Yes he has been quoted as saying "ive always hated 911's". The reason he doesn't traditionally like the 911 is because he truly believes the engine is in the wrong place, no other reason.

He's a funny presenter and he's also a decent driver. He really doesn't like early 911s though. Tiff Needell has left the BBC (where Top Gear is) and is now on channel 5. Clarkston's co-presnter on top gear has a 1982 911SC & takes a bit of abuse for that.
