Will 3.6 heat exchangers from a '97 993 fit a 3.2 -- and work well
with a (well built up) 3.4 conversion? Probably an age old debate...but which would be better for a 3.4 - B&B or GHL? Or something better than both? I really want heat and as close to header performance as I can get. BTW, using a Flowmaster exhaust muffler... THX Craig |

The 993 headers will present the same sort of problem on your engine that they will when used on a 964 i.e the passenger side flanges are 180° out of phase. This can be overcome by cutting/rewelding or some sort of adapter flange.
The 1 1/2" ID(1 5/8"OD) B&B are a nice solution if somewhat expensive, the 1 5/8" ID(1 3/4"OD) B&B are a bit large unless the engine is using some really lumpy non streetable cams. SSI @ 1 3/8" ID(1 1/2"OD) are good for general street use but just a tad smallish at higher revs. But still are likely the best choice. No experience w/ GHL some like them some don't.
