Air injector removal/bolt replacement question
Can't seem to find the thread I was looking for...
I'm removing my air-injector system on my '77 2.7.... Can anyone tell me what length bolt I should replace my air-injectors with? Should I use a particular grade of steel? Also, my EGR system was disconnected by the PO, and I finally removed the whole thing. Was wondering what kind of cap to place on the muffler where the EGR canister used to go. Thanks,

When I did mine on my long ago departed SC, I used allen head set screws that were just about the length of the threads in the hole. I can't remember exactly, but they were about half an inch or so.
Hope this helps. Jeff

I removed mine recently and found that a convertor drain plug found on the automatic transmisson from a Mercedes Benz 450 SEL will fit pefectly. You can also order from the dealer the matching aluminium washer. It has a hex head and looks very original. Regards Todd |

The ones I used were exactly like the ones in Tim's link. Got them at the local metric fastner company for under 5 bucks.
