Is going to Pomona worth it if you are looking to buy a car?

Ok, I only have $5k, but am willing to consider one that doesn't have sport seats, with high mileage (30,000-,50 000), and could learn to live with original paint as well.

It's a crapshoot, but if there is a good car/deal there, it will be gone @ 6AM on Sat. Early bird gets the 911, everyone else gets the "shoulda been here yesterday" story.

If you're close, give it a shot. Just don't be one of those morons who goes to a swap meet w/o cash. You must have a blank money order at the very least, (may or may not be accepted), or C-A-S-H. You will be competing w/ buyers who bring briefcases full of $$. "I'll be right back w/ the $$", or "here's a deposit", will get you laughed at.

Just take a two and a half hour flight to Seattle and drive home down highway one. Now that even put a smile on my face. :)
Nope no air on it, and infact I'm buying it :-D
I know how waiting can be on this, it took me over 3 months til I saw POPS car and now i think the next few weeks until we can finish everything up and get it shipped is going to be harder than the 3 months of searching.

Congratulations squirrelman. I am sure you will be very happy with this car. I do have mixed feelings, as I hate to see it leaving the Pacific Northwest. I am sure you will take good care of it though.

Congrats squirrelman.

I really need a/c here in the desert. Still lookin' !!!

CARRERIC 01-18-2004 05:58 AM

Dan, There are a couple of cars (SC"s) here in Florida for sale that may be of interest. Let me know if it's not to far and I will list the cars.

Eric
