Where do I get good roll bar foam?
Done with the rollbar install!
What foam do you recommend? I'd like something better than insulation stuff from home depot! I have 1 3/4 OD tubing. Where do I buy it? Stable Energies carries foam, but is too far. I need it soon. Any place in the SF bay that carries it? Or a place that is in CA or NV for quick shipping? Thanks, George |

Dave Turner Motorsports carries the high density, SFI-rated foam roll cage pads here in San Diego. Don't know how fast they could ship, though.

DON'T use the Home Despot stuff. It will not work since in is no where near dense enough. You should be able to order it from any race supply place. As was said before, get the sfi rated stuff.
Cheers, James

Since your in the bay area, give a call to Frey Racing. They probably have it.

I/O Port is up there too. Very quick shipping. I bought a tire pyrometer from them, good folks.

John:
Coming from the V8 US car side I had checked Summit and found this foam. Did you order this foam? What thinkness did you use? With their warehouse in Sparks, things get to me in a day with ground shipping. If I can find some feedback on their foam, theirs it will be! The price is right too! Chuck: I tried Frey's webpage and they only list the cheapo stuff. I may call them instead, but I am a real fan of the www. George |
