My mechanic is trying to sell his 86 cab, and I am helping him out. Its a super clean car and its in very very nice condition. What do you think its worth? Here are some pics

Nice car. looks very original, low miles, etc. The only question I would have is is there any rust (noticed that you were from Penn)? I would also assume that a car like that would command a better price in the summer out there.

If No rust, that could generate $20K out here.

Bummer about them Eagles by the way.

I agree in the summer it would bring a better price buthe says he wants to sell it right now. I am just doing him a favor since I am active on this board. Its a no rust car in great shape.. I'll be happy to answer any questions. I know its about a grand or so to ship it enclosed to the west coast.

What kind of updates have been done to it. It looks to have the original headlights (not H4's), is the rest of the car pretty much stock?

If he can wait, I would tell him to sit on it till this spring, otherwise he might be looking at taking maybe a $2K hit if he sell it now.

hmm, I know of an 87 cab, blue with blue interior that went for 22.5 not too long ago at a dealership. I also know of a dealer that has 3 cabs, 2 C2's and one C4 (one of the C2's is a sportnatic or whatever they call the auto's) and he has had them for a while.

Your buddies looks to be in really good shape, I would hope he could get atleast $19,500 for it right now. Its tougher to find a buyer in the winter though, maybe once tax returns start rolling in he will have good luck.

I bought mine in Chicago - in December (it was 11 degrees) and got an excellent deal - he sells now - and for a move it now price I think he's looking at $20K or under (mine was $19,000, 45,000 miles, all original)

I like the interior - cooler than the black - looks like it's in great shape.

I think East Coast price would be a little higher than you guys Todd - there are just not that many quality cars on the right coast. It's cold in the NE right now though - he'll take a bath if he HAS to sell it in the next 30 days. Not really cabriolet weather!
