2.4 and 2.7 engines, both need rebuild, what can I do?

OK....looks as if the 2.7 powered 914 is history....got a buyer in Illinois and a wire transfer coming in....got full price at 16K....well worth it....so....the next project is a 74 stripped racer with a C2 body kit....

I have a carbed 2.4 with a rod knock, Weber carbs, and disassembled 2.7 with all the tin exhaust and whatever......

What mods can I do on the 2,7 case to make a screamer? Obvioulsy cams with pistons and cylinders need to be purchased....the deal has a rebuild kit......any suggestions?

I've got some S cams and a full set of twin plug heads that are available if you need them for this project.

I will keep you in mind....send me an email with prices and what mods need to be done. What dizzy do you use for the dual plugs?

10.5:1 compression with twin plugs and S cams will go a long way towards making a screemer. Does the 2.7 have nikasil cylinders?

...and I've got a set of 40mm ported heads and a twin plug dist. (964). You'd have to enlarge the mating surface of the heads (they're 2.4) and drill and tap them for twin plugs. But the expensive stuff's already done. I was strongly considering doing an 10 or 11:1 twin plug 2.7 screamer myself...

2.7 cylinders slip right into stock 2.4 heads without ANY MACHINING!
