Looking at an `89 coupe in atlanta, and wanted to see if anyone in the area could do me a HUGE favor and check it out?

Also, for the locals: Who would you recommend for a PPI in the area?

Yep, that's the car. I believe he is in the North side of town (sorry that's all I have right now). If it helps the phone prefix is 404-269. The car is a 1989 coupe with 144k that needs to have the top end done in the near future. Since I am here, any thoughts/opinions on what it's worth?

Ok,

here's a bit mor detail on the car:

1989 coupe, 144k, red/tan, factory options include spoilers, LSD, and sport shocks (Bilsteins).

needs:
valve job (currently using 1qt every 500mi.)
trans mounts
rear valance
front chin spoiler
correct 8" Fuchs (has 6's & 7's instead of 6's & 8's)
new dash cap
oil cooler hose
wiper switch

Recent maintanece:
brakes
A/C conversion (134A)
belts
muffler & gaskets replaced
new injectors
new fuel pump
new plug wires
cap/rotor

LOL...high miles, beautiful car...I was considering it, but got a 2000 BMW wagon instead (waaaay more practical as I needed a truck) plus it was a bit more project than I needed at this time.

It's a really nice car for 144k. Hans isn't lying about the top end..no funny noises, but oil consuming...but so is my 912. Nothing really stood out as being bad about the body, but I really can't remember.

Hans is a good guy. I don't know what he'd take for it.

Here are some of Atlanta's Best Shops: You already have Bob Sanderson's info., but for comparative PPI pricing all the following would do just fine fine for you.

Rylands (Ryland Mills) - 770/951-9305
Proformance Place (Reggie Cumming) - 770/514-1448
Franz Blam (Franz) - 770/939-6100
Jack Lewis Enterprises (Jack Lewis) - 770/849-0302

All of these guys are located inthe north part of the city.
By the way, Ryland is selling a 1984 Carrera for around 10K. I know he did a lot of work to it and may be one of his personal cars. May be worth checking out.

I live off Holcomb Bridge in Alpharetta (across from Roswell) and I have never seen this car around! Probably not a daily driver.
